Ted picketing outside of the IIBR's main building.
Ted - professional artist.
22 June 1999 7:30 am - Shortly after the news conference on 21 June 1999, the hopes of new funding, and the reassures that Ted will not be replaced by a digital camera by founder and chairperson Keizo Marui, Ted walked out the International Institute of Boring Research. Ted has been in a strike position since last Sunday. There was an unanimous vote to strike by Ted himself last Thursday. Ted simply wishes to receive more money for the intense graphics he creates specially for the IIBR. Fortunately, after the news conference, head negotiator, Janie and Ted sat down for assumed marathon talks. These talks broke down because of Janie's high school exam schedule after a mere 14 hours. We all hope the Janie passes her mathematics exam =). The current contract, unfortunately most of the terms are deemed "confidential" by the institute, was signed at the opening of the Institute and the term was for an entire week. However, negotiations stalled after Janie had a major essay due in english class. This is feared to be a long strike as right after exams, Janie is rumoured to go on vacation with her family for six weeks. Marui states that he will step into the negotiator's role if necessary. Marui's main hopes are to settle this thing as soon as possible. As many of you see now, Ted is already sorely missed.
